Removal (Plastic Retainer Ring Fittings)

- Release fuel pressure from fuel system. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Disconnect negative battery cable at remote battery terminal on passenger's side strut tower. Ensure disconnect fitting and fuel lines are clean. Push plastic retainer ring and disconnect fitting from fuel line. See Figure. Inspect components for damage. If disconnect fitting is damaged, entire assembly must be replaced.
