Removal (2-Tab Fittings)

Release fuel pressure from fuel system. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
Disconnect negative battery cable at remote battery terminal on passenger's side strut tower. Ensure disconnect fitting and fuel lines are clean. Squeeze both tabs and pull disconnect fitting from fuel line. See Fig 1. Inspect components for damage. Retainer can be serviced separately from component.
