Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove instrument panel left side end cap. Remove steering column upper and lower cover. Tilt steering column to lowest position. On 300M, remove one cluster-to-bezel screw. On all models, remove all necessary components to access cluster bezel mounting screws. Remove screws. Using Trim Stick (C-4755), pry out instrument cluster bezel. Disconnect headlight switch wiring and remove bezel.
- Remove instrument cluster screws. Pull cluster away from panel. Instrument cluster wire harness connectors are self-aligning. About 30 lbs. (9 kg) force will be required to disengage cluster from wire connectors and upper clips. Tabs are provided in lower corners for hook-type tool to aid in removal. If lens is to be serviced, remove 2 screws and unsnap all 7 retaining tabs to remove. To install, reverse removal procedure.
