Front Brake Rotor: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove the front wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove the two disc brake caliper adapter-to-steering knuckle bolts. Remove the disc brake caliper and adapter as an assembly from the steering knuckle. See Figure and Fig 1
. Hang the assembly out of the way using wire or a bungee cord. Use care not to overextend the brake hose when doing this. Remove any retainer clips from the wheel mounting studs.
- Mark the rotor and a wheel stud for reassembly reference. Remove brake rotor from hub by pulling it straight off the wheel studs.
