Activating System (Saturn, L Series)

  1. Ensure wheels are in straight ahead position. Turn ignition off and remove key. Ensure IGN1 mini-fuse is still removed from fuse block.
  2. Connect left and right side curtain air bag Yellow 2-pin air bag connectors. Install C pillar trim panels. Coat C pillar shoulder belt fastener with Loctite 242 or equivalent. Tighten shoulder belt fastener to 26 ft. lbs. (35 N.m).
  3. Connect both passenger and driver Yellow 2-pin air bag connectors. Fasten clips on Yellow 2-pin connectors to instrument panel brace. Install IGN1 mini-fuse. Staying well away from both front air bag inflator modules, turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure AIR BAG warning light flashes 7 times, and then turns off.
