Removal & Installation Sebring Convertible

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Move front seat to full rearward position. Disconnect electrical connectors to seat belt buckle-pretensioner assembly. Remove seat belt buckle mounting nut and discard. Remove seat belt buckle-pretensioner assembly. See Figure .
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install NEW seat belt buckle-pretensioner mounting nut and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Perform air bag system check. See AIR BAG SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
