Removal & Installation Sebring, Stratus Sedan
- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Remove headliner. See HEADLINER .
- Remove air bag front tether retaining bolt located at instrument panel on A-pillar. Remove 5 short air bag retaining bolts along roof line. Remove 4 long air bag retaining bolts along roof line and C-pillar. Remove all push-style retainers and discard. Disconnect air bag electrical connector and remove curtain air bag. See Figure .
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten air bag retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Perform air bag system check. See AIR BAG SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
