Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Open driver-side front door and remove instrument panel end cap.
  2. Remove power mirror switch bezel. Remove left lower instrument panel trim and silencer. Disconnect electrical connectors from instrument panel fuse block. Remove 3 mounting screws and pull instrument panel fuse block straight down to disengage mounting pin, removing fuse block. Remove Body Control Module from fuse block.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. If BCM is being replaced with NEW BCM, remote keyless entry module must be transferred over to NEW module. Use DRB to program NEW BCM. DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Perform air bag system check. See AIR BAG SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
