Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Stored HVAC system related DTC/fault messages can be erased using DRBIII® or generic scan tool (refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions). Follow screen prompts on scan tool to clear all stored DTC/fault messages. HVAC DTC/fault messages may also be cleared by disconnecting negative battery cable for about 2 minutes.

After clearing codes, cycle ignition switch from on position to off, then on. Using scan tool, read DTC/fault messages. Ensure all HVAC system related DTC/fault messages have been cleared.
