A/C Pressure Transducer

NOTE: A/C pressure transducer may also be referred to as A/C pressure switch or high-pressure cut-out switch.

A/C pressure transducer sends information to PCM for control of condenser/radiator cooling fan and A/C compressor clutch functions. A/C pressure transducer is located on discharge line, near A/C compressor. A/C pressure transducer functions as a refrigerant system pressure sensor. When refrigerant pressure approaches extreme levels, switch contacts will open, preventing compressor clutch operation and possible damage to compressor or other components.
