CLOCKSPRING Centering

Damage to clockspring or loss of vehicle control is possible. Personal injury to driver or passenger may result. Ensure front wheels are straight-ahead position and clockspring mating marks are properly aligned before installing clockspring onto steering column.
Remove clockspring. Turn clockspring fully clockwise and then turn counterclockwise approximately 3 turns counterclockwise and align mating marks. See Fig 1. Install clockspring.
