F5M42 & F5M51 Transaxle

  1. Ensure vehicle is parked on level surface. Remove transaxle drain plug. Transaxle drain plug is located on rear of transaxle (clutch release fork side). Allow fluid to drain from transaxle.
  2. Reinstall transaxle drain plug and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Remove transaxle fill plug. Transaxle fill plug is located on left side of transaxle, above axle shaft opening.
  3. Fill transaxle with appropriate fluid until fluid level is even with bottom of transaxle fill plug hole. See RECOMMENDED FLUID  . Install and tighten transaxle fill plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
