Removal & Installation

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove shift knob and sleeve. Remove floor console box. Disconnect select and shift cables from shifter and transaxle. Remove heater/cooler unit. See appropriate MANUAL A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS article in AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING. Remove shift cable and select cable assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten shift and select cable assembly-to-firewall bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
