Disassembly & Reassembly

Refer to appropriate illustration for overhaul of clutch release cylinder. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . On models equipped with 3.0L engine, compressed air is required to remove piston assembly. On all models, note direction of piston cup for reassembly reference. Ensure components are clean and free of defects. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure using NEW piston cup. Lubricate components with DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid during reassembly.
