Piston Rings

Ensure ring end gap and side clearance are within specification. See PISTONS, PINS & RINGS table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. Position ring gaps in proper locations before installing pistons. See Fig 1. Install piston rings with manufacturer's ID marks facing up. See Fig 2.
