Vapor Canister: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Dodge Stratus and 2005 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fuel tank, refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the EVAP hoses from the EVAP canister and the electrical connector. See Fig 1.

  4. Squeeze the lower tabs on the EVAP canister to release it. See Fig 2.

  5. Swing the EVAP canister away from the lower bracket.
  6. Lift the EVAP canister up and off the upper mounting tab and. See Fig 3 and Fig 4.
