Speed Sensor - Input: Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Dodge Stratus and 2005 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Input Speed Sensor is a two-wire magnetic pickup device that generates AC signals as rotation occurs. It is threaded into the transaxle case, sealed with an o-ring. See Fig 1 and Fig 2, and is considered a primary input to the Powertrain/Transmission Control Module.
