VTSS/Skis Indicator Lamp: Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Dodge Stratus and 2005 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS) uses an indicator light to convey information on the status of the system to the customer. This indicator is shared with the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS). The VTSS/SKIS indicator is a Light Emitting Diode (LED), and is not serviceable separately. The indicator is located in the Instrument Cluster. The indicator is controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM) based upon messages it receives from the Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) on the PCI bus.
