Headlamp Unit - Export: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Remove the two retaining screws. See Fig 1.
- Remove upper fascia retainers by prying under the head of the fasteners with a flat bladed tool.
- Remove headlamp unit from fender side first, then pull headlamp unit out. See Fig 2.
NOTE:
Before proceeding, observe the rubber boot to see how it seals fully around the back of the reflector and the headlamp unit. The boot will have to be reinstalled later so that it seals around those areas.
- Carefully remove the rubber boot to gain access to the reflector and the position lamp.
- Disconnect the position lamp from the reflector by squeezing the locking tabs.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the lamps.
- Disconnect electrical connector from headlamp leveling motor.
- Remove the headlamp unit. See Fig 2.
