Hydraulic Cylinder: Removal

- Place the top in the up position
- Disconnect battery negative terminal.
- Remove rear seat cushion and rear seat back.
- Remove quarter trim panel.
- Remove cylinder mounting bracket and nut. See Fig 1.
- Remove pivot bolt attaching cylinder shaft to top linkage.
- Remove motor/pump assembly from floor panel. Holding motor/pump assembly with reservoir up, squeeze fill plug to release any air pressure from system.
- Disconnect hydraulic lines from the cylinder.
- Remove cylinder from vehicle.
