Blend Door Actuator: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Dodge Stratus and 2005 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the blend door actuator onto the bottom of the HVAC housing. If necessary, rotate the actuator slightly to align the splines on the actuator output shaft with those on the blend door cam. See Fig 1.

  2. Install the three screws that secure the blend door actuator to the HVAC housing. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.).
  3. Connect the HVAC wire harness connector to the blend door actuator.
  4. Install the right lower instrument panel trim cover and silencer panel (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM - INSTALLATION) .
  5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
