Removal - 2.0L/2.4L

Disconnect negative battery cable.
Drain cooling system (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
Remove timing belt, camshaft sprockets, and rear timing belt cover. (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN AND SPROCKETS - REMOVAL) .
Remove water pump to engine attaching screws. See Fig 1.
