2.7L Engine

  1. Drain cooling system (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
  2. Remove upper intake manifold. (Refer to ENGINE/MANIFOLDS/INTAKE MANIFOLD - REMOVAL) .
  3. Disconnect engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector.
  4. Disconnect hoses at coolant outlet connector. Use Special Tool 8495 Pliers to remove clamps. See Fig 1.

  5. Remove bolts attaching coolant outlet connector. See Fig 2.
  6. Remove coolant outlet connector.
