Crankshaft Oil Seal - Front: Removal

- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove accessory drive belts (Refer to COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - REMOVAL) .
- Remove crankshaft damper (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE BLOCK/VIBRATION DAMPER - REMOVAL) .
- Remove timing belt (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN AND SPROCKETS - REMOVAL) .
- Remove crankshaft sprocket using Special Tool 6793 and insert C-4685-C2. See Fig 1.CAUTION: Do not nick shaft seal surface or seal bore.
- Use Tool 6771 to remove front crankshaft oil seal. See Fig 2. Be careful not to damage the seal surface of cover.
