Exhaust Manifold: Removal

- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Raise vehicle on hoist.
- Remove complete exhaust system (Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM - REMOVAL) .
- Remove rear engine mount and transaxle bracket.
- Remove exhaust manifold heat shield. See Fig 1.
- Disconnect oxygen sensor electrical connector.
- Remove exhaust manifold retaining fasteners and remove exhaust manifold.
- Remove and discard manifold gasket.
