Engine 2.0L DOHC: Description

The 2.0 Liter (122 cu. in.) in-line four cylinder engine is a dual over-head camshaft with hydraulic lash adjusters and four valves per cylinder design. See Fig 1. The engine does not have provisions for a free wheeling valvetrain.
The cylinders are numbered from front of the engine to the rear. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.
The engine identification number is located on the left side of the engine block at the bed plate/engine block parting line near the crankshaft position sensor. See Fig 2.
