INSPECTION PROCEDURE 1: Difficult Locking and Unlocking: Diagnosis

STEP 1. Check the release cable routing condition.
Q: Is the release cable routing condition good?

YES : Go to Step 3.

NO: Repair the release cable. Then go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Check the engagement of the trunk latch and trunk striker.
Q: Are the trunk latch and trunk striker engaged correctly?

YES : Adjust the trunk lid striker (Refer to TRUNK LID ).

NO: Go to Step 3.
STEP 3. Retest the system.
Q: Does the trunk lock operate easily?

YES : The procedure is complete.

NO: Return to Step 1.
