Disabling & Activating Air Bag System: Notes

WARNING: Unintentional air bag module deployment is possible. Personal injury may result. Never use memory savers when working on air bag system.
Unintentional air bag module deployment is possible. Personal injury may result. Back-up power supply maintains air bag system voltage for about 2 minutes after battery is disconnected. After disabling air bag system, wait at least 2 minutes before servicing air bag system.
CAUTION: Driveability problems are possible. When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See Computer Relearn Procedures in the Reference Information section.
