INSPECTION PROCEDURE N-3: Theft-alarm system: Headlights (high-beam) do not flash when the theft-alarm system is triggered.: Diagnosis

- STEP 1. Verify the headlight (high-beam) operation.
Q: Do the headlights (high-beam) illuminate normally?
YES : Go to Step 2.
NO: Solve the problem first. Refer to SYMPTOM CHART .
- STEP 2. Replacement of ECU
- Replace the ETACS-ECU.
- The headlights (high-beam) should flash when the theft-alarm system is triggered.
Q: Do the headlights (high-beam) flash normally by the theft-alarm system?
YES : No action is necessary and testing is complete.
NO: Replace the front-ECU. The headlights (high-beam) should flash when the theft-alarm system is triggered.
