DTC 12: Column switch fault or improper connection to the ETACS-ECU: Diagnosis

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Dodge Stratus and 2005 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Required Special Tools:

  1. STEP 1. Verify the ignition switch position.

Q: Does DTC 11 set with the ignition switch at "ON" position?

YES  : Go to  Step 5.

    NO:  Go to Step 2.

  2. STEP 2. Check the battery power supply circuit to the column switch. Test at column switch connector C-203.
    1. Disconnect column switch connector C-203 and measure the voltage available at the wiring harness side.
