Seat Belt Tone Alarm Function

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Dodge Stratus and 2005 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

If the seat belt is unfastened (the seat belt switch: ON) for ten seconds after the ignition switch has been turned on for 60 seconds or more, or the vehicle speed reaches 8 km/h (5 mph) or more while the seat belt is unfastened (the seat belt switch: ON), the ETACS-ECU will sound the tone alarm (the tone alarm will sound for five seconds every three seconds 12 times). If the seat belt is fastened or the ignition switch is turned off while the tone alarm is sounding, the tone alarm will stop sounding.
