Seat Belt Warning Light

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Dodge Stratus and 2005 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The ETACS-ECU will illuminate the seat belt warning light for six seconds regardless of whether the seat belt is fastened or unfastened after the ignition switch is turned "ON". The ETACS-ECU will flash the seat belt warning light if the seat belt has been unfastened (the seat belt switch: ON) for ten seconds after 60 seconds or more have passed since the ignition switch was turned on, or the vehicle speed reaches 8 km/h (5 mph) or more while the seat belt is unfastened (the seat belt switch: ON). The seat belt warning light will stop flashing if the seat belt is fastened or the ignition switch is turned off.

NOTE: The seat belt warning light can be disabled by the configuration function. Refer to ON-VEHICLE SERVICE  .
