Auto-Dimming Feature Test

- When the ignition key is in the "ACC" or "ON" position, the green indicator light should be illuminated. Make sure the green indicator light on. If it's not, press the display switch for more than 6 seconds, less than 9 seconds, until the indicator illuminates.
- Cover the forward-facing light sensor on the back of the mirror with a black cloth.
- While in a well-lit area, make sure light strikes the sensor on the front of the mirror, simulating glare from vehicles behind you. The mirror will dim within 2 minutes if the testing for the first time. If the mirror does not dim, replace the inside rear view mirror INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR .
