Oil Viscosity
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Dodge Stratus and 2005 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The SAE grade number indicates the viscosity of the oil. A proper SAE grade number should be selected according to ambient temperature.
NOTE:
SAE 5W-20, SAE 5W-30 and SAE 10W-30 engine oil can be used in outdoor temperatures ranging from -18 to 38°C (0 to 100°F). However, for optimum fuel economy and cold starting, select the low SAE viscosity grade oil for the expected temperature range. SAE 5W-20 or SAE 5W-30 engine oil is recommended.
