10. Engine Oil (Change)

Use the specified oil. (Refer to GASOLINE CONTAINING ALCOHOL .)
WARNING:
Use care. Oil could be hot.
- After warming up the engine, remove the oil filler cap.
- Remove the drain plug to allow the engine oil to drain.
- Replace the drain plug gasket with a new one, and then tighten the drain plug to the specified torque.NOTE: Install the drain plug gasket so it faces in the direction shown in the illustration.
Tightening torque: 39 +/- 5 N.m (29 +/- 4 ft-lb)
- Pour new engine oil in through the oil filler tube.
Engine oil capacity:
4.0 dm 3 (4.2 quarts)
[excluding oil filter 0.3 dm 3 (0.32 quart)]
- Start the engine and run it at idle for a few minutes.
- Stop the engine and check to ensure that the engine oil level is within the level range indicated on the dip stick.
