Diagnostic Procedure

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES - BCM MESSAGE NOT RECEIVED

TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII®, attempt to communicate with the BCM.
Was the DRBIII® able to I/D or communicate with the BCM?
Yes --> Go To 2
No --> Refer to the COMMUNICATION CATEGORY  and perform the appropriate symptom.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .		 All
2 With the DRBIII®, erase DTC's.
Turn the ignition on and wait approximately 1 minute.
With the DRBIII®, read DTC's.
Did this DTC reset?
Yes --> Replace the Compass/Mini Trip Computer in accordance with the Service Information.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .
No --> Refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article to help isolate a possible intermittent open or shorted wiring condition.
