Diagnosis And Testing - Heated Seat System
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Dodge Stratus and 2005 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article for the location of complete heated seat system wiring diagrams. Before testing the individual components in the heated seat system, perform the following preliminary checks:
- If the heated seat switch numerals (1-6) do not illuminate with the ignition switch in the ON position and the heated seat switch in 1-6 positions, check the fuse that supplies the switches in the junction block. If the fuse checks OK, test the heated seat switch as described in this article.
- If the heated seat switch numerals (1-6) illuminate, but the heating elements do not heat, check the low voltage cut-out relay in the PDC. If the relay checks OK, test the seat heating elements as described in this article.
