CV Boots: Notes

CAUTION: Inner boots are not interchangeable. Ensure boots of the correct material are used on each side during replacement.

NOTE: Replacement of CV boots is the only procedure that can be being performed on axle shaft assemblies. If any failure of internal axle shaft component is diagnosed, replace axle shaft as an assembly. Outer CV joint cannot be serviced and must be replaced as an axle shaft assembly.
