Park Brake Shoes: Removal

Remove disc brake caliper and rotor. See REAR BRAKE CALIPER and REAR BRAKE ROTOR .
Remove hub and bearing from knuckle. See REAR HUB & BEARING ASSEMBLY .
Remove hold-down clip from rear park brake shoe. See Fig 1 . Turn park brake shoe adjuster wheel until adjuster is at its shortest length. Remove the park brake shoe adjuster from the park brake shoe. See Fig 2 .
Remove the lower return spring between the park brake shoes. See Fig 3 .
Pull the rear park brake shoe away from the caliper adapter. See Fig 4 . Remove the upper return spring from between the park brake shoes.
Remove the hold-down clip from the front park brake shoe. See Fig 5 . Remove park brake shoes.
