Power Seat Switch Voltage Supply

  1. Remove power seat switch and disconnect harness connector. Measure voltage of battery feed circuit, using ground circuit at power seat switch harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If battery voltage exists, check operation of motor and switch. See COMPONENT TESTS  . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
  2. Measure voltage of battery feed circuit, using a separate ground. If battery voltage exists, repair open in ground circuit between power seat switch and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
  3. Check fuse No. 4 (40-amp) in Power Distribution Center (PDC). Repair as necessary. Check circuit breaker No. 1 (20-amp) in junction block. If fuse and circuit breaker are okay, repair open in battery feed circuit between junction block and power seat switch. If system is still inoperative, check operation of circuit breaker No. 1 (20-amp) in junction block. See CIRCUIT BREAKER  under COMPONENT TESTS.
