Description & Operation

An eight way power seat system is standard on premium models and optional on all others. On premium models, power seats can be adjusted in 8 different directions: up, down, forward, backward, tilt forward, tilt rearward, seat back recliner up and seat back recliner down. All other models move in 6 different directions: up, down, forward, backward, tilt forward, and tilt rearward (if equipped with power seats). All power seat systems receive battery voltage through a 20-amp circuit breaker in the junction block. Battery voltage is available to power seat system at all times. On premium models, an 8-way switch directs power to 4 permanent-magnet, reversible motors. All other models use a 6-way switch to direct power to 3 permanent-magnet, reversible motors. Power seat motors are coupled through cables to worm gear box assemblies located in seat tracks, providing various seat movements.
