MULTIFUNCTION Switch

Remove instrument panel knee protector and steering column covers. Disconnect switch connector at steering column. Check continuity and resistance between specified switch terminals with switch in appropriate position. See MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH CONTINUITY  and MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH RESISTANCE  tables. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If continuity or resistance is not as specified, replace multifunction switch. See MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH CONTINUITY

Low Beam C2 1 & 5
High Beam C2 3 & 4; 3 & 5
Flash C2 3 & 4; 3 & 5
(1) For turn signal and hazard switch testing, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
(2) Terminals No. 1 and 2 as well as No. 4 and 5 are internally connected in multifunction switch and will always have continuity. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
