One Heated Mirror Inoperative

  1. Remove front door trim panel from door with inoperative heated mirror. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect mirror electrical connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Press rear window defogger button on. Using test light connected to ground, probe outside mirror connector Light Blue/Yellow wire terminal. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in wire between outside mirror connector and fuse No. 6 located in instrument panel junction block. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. Using test light connected to battery voltage, probe outside mirror connector Black wire terminal. If test light illuminates, replace outside mirror. See OUTSIDE MIRRORS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in Black wire between outside mirror connector and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
