Multiple/Individual Instrument Cluster Gauges Inoperative
- Perform instrument cluster self-diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS
under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If gauge does not respond, go to next step. If gauge responds, check operation. Replace instrument cluster as necessary.
- Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between Black 26-pin instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminal No. 4 (Pink wire) and ground. See Fig 1
. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair as necessary.
- Turn ignition off. Using DVOM, measure resistance between Black 26-pin instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminal No. 1 (Black wire) and ground, located on center instrument panel support. If continuity does not exist, repair as necessary. If continuity exists, check for damaged pins or connector. If connector is okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
