Disabling System

To disable air bag system for repairs, ensure ignition switch is in OFF position. Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. Also, disconnect any auxiliary batteries and power supplies (if equipped). After disconnecting negative battery cable, wait at least 2 minutes for reserve capacitor to discharge before servicing air bag system.
