Compass/Mini-Trip Computer
Available only on Sebring Convertible, the Compass/Mini-Trip Computer (CMTC) is located on right side of instrument cluster. See Fig 1 . This dual-function display provides a digital readout of ambient (outside) temperature and 8 primary compass readings to indicate the direction in which vehicle is facing.
Pressing STEP button on CMTC will change mode of operation between compass, ambient temperature and trip computer. Pressing US/M button will toggle display between English and Metric readings. Resetting the trip computer display is accomplished by pressing and holding both the STEP and US/M button at the same time.
To calibrate CMTC, see COMPASS CALIBRATION under PROGRAMMING. The word CAL will be displayed to indicate that the compass is in the fast calibrating mode. The CAL display may be turned off after the vehicle has completed 3 circles without stopping, in an area free of magnetic disturbance.
