System Tests: Tachometer

Connect inductive-type engine tachometer to high tension cable. Start engine and compare tachometers at specified engine speed. See TACHOMETER SPECIFICATIONS  table. Replace tachometer if difference is excessive. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
