Stoplight Switch
- Using ohmmeter, check for continuity of switch when plunger is pushed in about .16" (4 mm) from outer case edge surface. See Fig 1. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, replace stoplight switch.
- Check for continuity of switch with plunger released. If continuity exists, switch is okay. If continuity does not exist, replace stoplight switch. On vehicles with cruise control, ensure continuity exists between terminals "A" and "B". See Fig 1. If continuity does not exist, replace stoplight switch.
