Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Float Height Measurement

Remove rear seat cushion and center protection plate to gain access to fuel gauge sending unit. Remove fuel gauge sending unit from fuel tank. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Move float to highest point and measure height between point "F" and sending unit cover flange. See Figure . Move float to lowest point and measure height between point "E" and sending unit cover flange. See FLOAT HEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS  table. Replace sending unit if readings are not as specified.
