Brake Pedal Pressed

  1. Start engine. Press brake pedal with approximately 110 lbs. (50 kg) of force. If clearance between top of brake pedal pad and floor is 3.5" (90 mm), pedal height is acceptable.
  2. If clearance is less than 3.5" (90 mm), bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM . If pedal height is still less than 3.5" (90 mm) after bleeding brake system, check brake lining clearance, or for dragging parking brake.
